BBC news said these days more and more animals are abandoned in the UK. The same cases happen in japan. Public health center receives many animals which are abandoned by their owner and they are killed with chemicals unless the owners are found. In this article, I'd like to analyse the cause of the fact and talk about the solution for that.
the victims who receive harm the most are cats and dogs because they are the most popular as a pet. People sometimes abandone their pets at ease because of the many sort of reasons. For example, the owner came not be able to keep pet any more because of finanncial problem. Some people think of pets as if they were toys for their children. As a result, children come not to be interested in the pets and they finally abandone them. Moreover, according to an animal rescue club, people end up discarding their pets especially when those animals gave birth to their babies. Proably people feel that I can't afford to keep all of them and cannnot help abandoning them when many babies of their pets are born.These are moral problem and it's difficult to change people's minds.
Parents have part of responsibilities for that because when children want to get some pets, they have to remind their children of that pets are alive and they can not be a temporary toys for children. They have to make their children promise to keep animals not for short-term satisfaction but long-term friend. Though having a such children with marality is ideal situation, it's quite difficult to realize that because even adults sonetimes abandone their pets.
Therefore, some steps Should be done for this problem. I think legal panishment should be done for discardings animals. Though there is regulation for prohibit abandoning animals, it never works because people discard pets secretly. i think it is useful to make a certificate to keep animals. If people have to submit a death cetificate, it is clear wether the owner abandoned their pets. It becames possible to regurate people who discarded their animals.
To be honest, it is the best for people not to abandone their pets without such a system however, it's hard to regurate something without any panishment. I hope that many people buy their pets not for the temporary purpose as a toy but to keep them with responsibilities.

Is marriage necessary????
CNN news said British people's ideas about marriage has changed recently. They come to think that marriage isn't necessary any more because of high rate of divorce and much about of troubles concerning about marriage. It seems that people don't think marriage as a proof of love. They tend to think that they take it more flexible to love somebody without marriage. In this article, I'll discuss whther a marriage is necessary or not.
I think marriage is nescessary for the following reasons.
Firstly, when women give birth a child, it's easier to detect the origin of the child if women was married. Conversely, without marriage, some children might have troubles to know his or her origin of the birth if parents are irresponsible. That's a problem because childeren feel uneasy if they don't know who are their parents. Also, it has a influence on children's life because children have to go to orphan school if they don't know their parents and have noone who take care of them. Therefore, marriage is necessary to take responsible of children.
Secondly, couples can share the memory of marriage celemony and they can recognize to live toghther from now on. In that sense, marriage is good idea because when marriage, people can perceive that they have to cooperate each other, which makes new kindness to the partner. Though the celemony of marriage costs a lot, the process of saving money to get marriage make two people love deeply. At least I hope so.
Finally, Getting marriage makes it difficult for couples to break up. Problems regarding on SNS
These days many people especially students seem to use SNS such as Facebook and mixi. Although these web sights contribute to students' making new friends, people said there are some problems on it. For example some students try to contact someone through the sites,which might trigger kidnappings or more than that because students contact with strangers with little information about them. In this page, I'll think about what should be done to protect innnocent students.
Firstly, schools should make classes to teach students about the way to use SNS. Some students start using SNS just because everyone do it. Such students are vulnerable to be victim of troubles on SNS because SNS is sometimes difficult to use and students might be confused if they get message from strangers. Actually, when I begins to use facebook, I really confused to use it because I had to use it in English, which is not my mother tongue and I unconciously joind a community of "expose your skin" because I was invited from strangers. Though I stopped to join the community after I noticed that that community is very very strange, at the same time I though that students who use SNS can get similar problems. Therefore, Schools should take lecture or discussion about using SNS so that they don't get problems on SNS sites.
Do parents have to make their parents stop to use SNS? I don't tink so because the more students are prohibited to use it, the more they want to use it and it's impossible to stop the use completely. Students have many oppotunities to connect to the internet and discussing about such online problem will be indispensable in near future. I'd like parents to limit the time to use SNS because it reduces risk of students being obsessed with SNS sites.

Survellance Society
In recent years, CCTV cameras are used in a variety of different situations in UK. Similarly, there are so many CCTV cameras everywhere in japan such as the entrance of mansions, in taxi es, stores, and in the elevators. In this piece of writing, I'll discuss the issue.
Some people don't like to be recorded and others don't care much about this. However, more or less, CCTV cameras are put in order to save us. They are used to identify the criminals and prevent violence and stop arguments. For example, when someone had a shoplifting in a convenience store, the shopkeeper soon identified who did it. In that case CCTV is a helpful tool to prevent second shoplifting. Though 99 percent of customers in convenience store don't do such a thing , yet for shipowners, even one shoplifting is a unmissable lost. Furthermore, like that shops have CCTV cameras, some schools adopt recording. I think it IS necessary especially in universities. That's because we don't want to be exposed to fear that a stranger kill or injure us. Now few universities have CCTV cameras in their buildings, however, Universities is to be strictly restricted its entry because anyone even mad people can enter the buildings. Actually, in Korakuen campus of Chuou Univ, a professor was killed by someone. Police couldn't identified the criminal and we have a fear that it might happen in our university. If Chuou Univ. had had cameras the ciminals could have been arrested.
Ofcource there're demerits of recording people because it might invade people's privacy. People are watched all the time with CCTV cameras. Camera checkers know who came to the specific place and what they did. I wonder what would happen if individual secrets recorded with CCTV cameras leak out. Sometimes recording works bad.

For instance, if you're suspected that you touched in elevator, you can prove not to be true because the movie of the CCTV cameras can be a definitive evidence of your innocence. Actually, there's a case that the suspect proved his innocence in 2006. When you do the correct thing, CCTV is in favor of us.
In conclusion, CCTV has both positive effects and negative points, but when I consider which we take safety or privacy, I think safety is more important because safety is essential to live. As we know, cameras cannot necessarily record all things which happens in the past and present, we need to be recorded to prevent crimes, prove our innocence and be in safe.

MUSIC REVIEW ～Jazz Night～
Last week, I went to a jazz bar with some students and Dr. Pronko, a professor of American literature of MeijiGakuin University. The purpose of Dr.Pronko taking us to the bar was to introduce the real jazz. The day was no -charge day and we didn't have to pay for entrance fee. I was very exited because I haven't listened Jazz which played with real instruments in front of me.
The players on the special day were Toshio Miki, Yuki Arimasa, Yousuke Inoue and Toru Takahashi. According to Dr.Pronko, they are very famous jazz musician and known to jazz fan around the world though I haven't heared their name because I'm not familiar with Jazz. The reason I accompanied to the bar was that I didn't know much about jazz although we study jazz in Topics in American Culture classes which conducted by Dr. Pronko. So, Iwanted to listeten the real jazz of real instrument.
When we arrived at the bar named 'B flat' wchich located in Akasaka, there're already many people in the room. Everybody seems to be a jazz fan and most of them are relatively old. They clapped to the players and some people showed their exitement with a loud voice. They sometimes called the players' name and say 'good','nice' and something like that. I like such a warm atomospere.
The musicians played some famous songs and their original songs one afte another and they are tried not to make listener fed up with songs. A theme song of 'Charry and Chocolate factory' was quite familiar with me and I enjoyed it even though I'm not an enthusiastic jazz fan.
While I listened the songs, I found several following features of jazz .
Firstly, Jazz players sometimes don't beat the same rhythem in the group. Different instrument played with different rhythm like a disagreeable conversation. Comapare to other music such as Rock and Pop which usually beat the same rhythm in a group, this is suprising because we didn't find any consistent rhythem but we feel a kind of harmony.
Secondly, they are more creative than other music. Especially I focued on the piano. Unlike classical music or piano lessons I used to take, the piano on the jazz insists its existance. It was assertive and it sounds like a rain. Though they sisn't ding with their voice, it sounded like songs and consist of their feelings: passion to perform, and making listeners enjoy.
In conclusion, I love juzz because it has deeper reconditeness than I had expected. The musians played tunes like a songs and their tunes induced a catharsis. The night was nice because I learned not only history, value of Jazz in classes, but also the goodness of the tune in reality.

Schools could be allowed to ban veils
The government introduced a guidelie that schools could be allowed to ban veils. This is partly because teaches have difficulty to see if students are part in lessons with veils covering their full face. The guideline doesn't necessarily prohibit wearing all religious clothes, but once it's enforced, clothing such as veils could be mostly banned. Some students shows their agreements with this guideline because they can see students' facial reactions. On the other hand, some pupils regard it as an intimidating because non-muslim students feel that muslims are different to them. Human rights commision protested this guideline because it could result in student' being withdrawn from the school. Ban on religious symbols are a debatable problem.
Ban on religious symbols is very controvercial and difficult to do because the government which try to enforce this guideline are non-muslims. They can't understnad how the religious veils are important. However, in my opinion, religious symbops such as headscurf, veils are interrupting their learning in school because teachers can't see students with veils understood the lessons and other students can't see muslim students' reaction on their communication. In teaching, teachers are watching students' faces carefully and sometimes they talk to students what you think about questions in classes. It's face to face communication and it can be prevented students from expressing their feeling on the face if they wearing veils covering their full face.
Futhermore, this ban on religious symbols may decrease bullying because muslims are sometimes discriminated with their visual differences to non-muslims. For I percieve that they are muslims with their all black suits when I see them in large stations in Tokyo. Though being muslims are not bad thing and they have rights to wear such a clithes, all black suits are too expressive and it can be a prejudice in school which cost them a lot. Especially after 9.11, people came to see as if all muslims were criminals, and wearing such a distinctive clothes stimilate people's mind that they are dengerous. It's kind of prejudice but there are no good to put on religious clothes from the points of view of this society.
